Data Deletion & Retention Policy

This policy explains how to delete your account and data, what happens when you do, and how long we keep data. It supports your PDPA rights to withdraw consent (s.13) and the requirement to stop retaining personal data once it is no longer needed (s.25). It is part of our Privacy Policy.


1. How to delete your account

  • In-app: My Profile → Delete account (account-level deletion, with confirmation).
  • By request: email hello@offerly.sg from your registered address.

We may verify your identity before acting on a request.

2. What gets deleted, anonymised, or retained

When you delete your account we process each category of your data as follows:

3. Listings you own (vendors)

If you own listings, deleting your account releases or removes those listings per the Vendor Terms. Where a listing has attached user data (e.g. saves, reviews), we may apply a short grace/soft-removal period before permanent deletion to avoid destroying value or enabling malicious takedown.

4. Timeline

  • We action deletion requests within 30 days of verification.
  • Backups containing your data are overwritten on our normal backup cycle; residual copies in backups are deleted within 7 days and are not restored except for disaster recovery.

5. Withdrawing consent without full deletion

You don't have to delete your whole account to limit processing:

  • Stop marketing: unsubscribe in any marketing email, or opt out of SMS/WhatsApp, or contact the DPO.
  • Withdraw a specific consent: contact the DPO; we'll stop that processing and tell you any feature impact.

6. Access and correction

You may request a copy of the data we hold about you (PDPA s.21) or ask us to correct it (s.22). In-app profile editing covers some fields; for everything else (reviews, analytics, proof docs, disclosure history) contact hello@offerly.sg.

7. Retention summary

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose collected or as required by law. Indicative periods are in the Privacy Policy Section 8. Once no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymised.
